News on January Classes
Hi Folks,
It's been a wonderful fall. My "working sabbatical" has been very fruitful, with the launching of the first New Brunswick Yoga Teacher Training program and 7 new Viniyoga Teachers due to graduate in May, and on a personal level, just a lot of quiet evenings in front of the fire!
I've been so comfortable in fact, it's been hard to imagine a "post Christmas..." Slowly it's dawned on me I better get you news of the January classes.
You'll find the new schedule online at lifesongyoga.com (here's the direct link to the schedule).
Slowness aside, I'm very much looking forward to seeing many of you again and excited about some new projects and a new way of doing things. It's been good to lighten up. The five years at York Street was rich and purposeful, AND it's good to be moving on with less administrative load and more time and energy for... studying and teaching this ancient tradition of yoga. Lightening up will include new locations, new policies (pay first class), new mats (best way to get your home practice going is buy a mat!), and new collaborations (see below).
New for Winter 08:
- I've discovered the wonders of the newly renovated Odell Park Lodge, where you'll see I'll be offering some classes. I'll be teaching from Yoga Above Aura, Stepping Stones and Marysville, as well.
- New classes include a collaboration with long-time spiritual director and practitioner/program facilitator of the Centering Prayer tradition, Don MacDougall. We are offering "Speaking of Silence" on Thursday afternoons, looking for the best of meditation from the Yoga and Christian traditions.
- There's also: Yoga for the Out of Shape or Overweight. As I've worked with changes in my own health, my practice is always changing and evolving and the central tenet of Viniyoga has become very precious to me. Start from where you are and forget about the rest. We're all works in progress so enjoy the journey!
- Stepping Stone will be offering the Beginner 50+ session this winter. I'm looking forward to working with their energy.
- This fall I've also been developing my private client practice, a most rewarding way to work with people who are interested in fine-tuning and in some cases, fast-tracking their healing or learning process. For more information on Private Sessions, visit lifesongyoga.com
- I'm considering a second class of Teacher Training for Spring 08. Let me know if you're interested...
Please feel free to contact me with class questions: info@lifesongyoga.com
Looking forward to Winter Session 08...
Blessings to you and yours in this Season of Light (yup, that's what it's all really about!!!)
