Lifesong Yoga Teacher Training/Advanced Studies Begins Sept 28-30th, Gleaner Article features the "Viniyoga Way"!
Hi Folks,
Happy Fall and what a fall we're having!
Did you catch the beautiful article by Lori Gallagher in the Sat Sept 22nd Gleaner? Let me tell you, it's a bit nerve-wracking to agree to one of those feature portraits for the Balance articles! Many thanks to Lori for a sensitive, intelligent and comprehensive look at my attempts to live the Viniyoga philosophy!!!
If you missed the Daily Gleaner article you can see it on the Lifesong Yoga web site - click here.
Just a reminder, New Brunswick's first yoga teacher training and Advanced Studies for interested students begins THIS WEEKEND, Sept 28-30th.
If you're interested in a teacher certification, it's a 200 hour certification following the North American Yoga Alliance standards. The certification requires you to complete 180 hours of structured study and complete a 20 hour project.
If you're interested in deepening your own understanding of yoga philosophy and technique, it's 9 weekends over 9 months - a flexible container in which to challenge and grow your own practice on and off the mat accompanied by a senior teacher and mentor. This is self-directed learning - you control the schedule and pace (no hour counting, no evaluation).
You'll find complete information at www.lifesongyoga.com (click on the Teacher Training button) including a list of weekend dates and financial arrangements. If you choose you can even apply online.
This training has been two years in preparation. Up until now, people have had to travel to Montreal, Halifax or the States with all the attendant costs and time commitments. As the only Senior teacher in the Viniyoga tradition on the Eastern seaboard, I am fulfilling a promise I made to my own teacher, Claude Marechal, to take through at least one group of new teachers/advanced students to widen the base of Viniyoga teachers and practitioners in the Maritimes.
If your little voice has been whispering to you... now's the time! There are two spaces left in the program.
I'll be resuming group classes in January, location TBA. Stay tuned. Until then, why not consider a private consultation to tune up and motivate your practice?
Here's hoping you're finding moments to enjoy fall blessings...
Namaste,
Kathryn Downton
